This song is a narrative. It is because it tells a story. It tells the story about a boy that took advantage of a girls love. "she laid her heart and soul right in your hands and you stole her every dream and you crushed her plans. She never even knew she had a choice and that's what happens. When the only voice she hears is telling her she can't". This lyric from the song shows that a girl loved this boy and he took everything for granted.

Try and stay out of everybody's way". This tells the story about a girl that is beginning her high school career. She is starting her day off. Also Taylor sings "You sit in class next to a redhead named Abigail and soon enough you're best friends. Laughing at the other girls who think they're so cool, we'll be outta here as soon as we can". This tells the story about this girls high school times.
