Taylor Swift- Forever & Always

There is one example of personification in this song. Personification is when you assign human characteristics to an inanimate object. Taylor does this when she sings, "smile that could light up this whole town". This gives a smile human characteristics. A smile can not really light up a whole town, that's silly.

Taylor Swift- Fearless

There is also only one example of personification in this particular song. This gives pavement human qualities. "There’s a glow off the pavement". The pavement does not actually glow.


Sarah Buxton- Outside my window

In this song there are some examples of personification. "The world's flying by our window outside" is an example because a world can not fly by a window. "we'll just disappear" you can not actually disappear so this is personification.
